SPREAD Alumni Project Update

The Cut + Paste Society is pleased to present Snow Poems Postcard Book Launch + Poetry Storm, the culminating piece to SITE Santa Fe’s SPREAD 3.0 winning project, Snow Poems 2013.
Last winter Cut + Paste Society partnered with Santa Fe Art Institute to stencil original poetry on sixty windows of forty buildings throughout the city of Santa Fe. The citywide project also included free poetry workshops, outreach in schools, walking tours, an exhibition and poetry reading, and a closing celebration with a Snow Poems Hear Here Choir led by SPREAD 3.0 finalist Molly Sturges.
The project explored how people connect with each other through poetry in public spaces. The souvenir postcard book captures the aesthetic quality of the project and allows participants to continue to use poetry to communicate with fris and family via the intimate form of a postcard, in and beyond Santa Fe.
The postcard book will be for sale at Collected Works, SITE Santa Fe, and from the Snow Poems website. Sales from the postcard book will fund future Snow Poems projects. Find out more about the Postcard book here.

Friends, I have enjoyed reading about the Cut + Paste Society and your snow poems project of last year. I am a mixed media artist living and working in Santa Fe for 27 years. I have been on a bit of an art production hiatus in the last few years, as I have moved forward from a divorce and ensuring that my learning-challenged daughter graduated high school. I am interested in joining your collaboration if you have room for more members. Thank you for your consideration.
